    Personally, my favorite animal down here in Florida is the tiny, brown-feathered burrowing owl. It usually lives on flat stretches of land, and, as the name implies, burrows under the ground to make nests. (That's what makes them cool and unique from other birds.)     I have a couple of favorite backyard animals. One of them is the alligator which can be found here in the Everglades in Southern Florida.
