I think that the books are always better than the movies. Take "The Outsiders" for example, the book is a lot better than the movie.

I seriously reccomend The Legend of the Animal Healer series by Lauren St. John, and the Alex Rider series, by Anthony Horrowitz. I'm addicted to the both of them! I guarantee you will love at least one of them.
