This project started through epals. Our students got to know each other by exchanging correspondence. Then students created Artist Trading Cards with the theme "A View Out My Window". Cards were exchanged through regular mail and students exchanged descriptions of their cards and reflections of the process through epals. My school is North Shore Middle School in Hartland, Wisconsin. The school in France is Collège Paul Verlaine in Metz.
As you can see from the pictures, we approached the project in different ways. My students used colored pencils to draw their scenes. Some students added window details cut from paper and ribbon. The students in France worked with computers and added drawn elements.
