Water Project
In this unit, students will explore the global importance of water. Students will participate in an email exchange to discuss water as a valuable resource as they 1) document their personal water usage 2) explore water use in their community 3) learn what water ecosystems are directly effected by their actions and 4) research the worlds water problems.

Why does the lion live in the desert? In this lesson, students research habitats within their ePals' country and the plants and animals that live in them.

Global Warming Project
How can we help to save our planet from global warming? In this lesson, students learn what global warming is and how it affects the entire planet. Email exchanges help students learn more about the effects of global warming and initiatives to reduce it throughout the world.

Maps Project
In this lesson, students will learn to use three different types of maps (physical, climate and political) to gather information about where their ePals live. Based on the information gathered from the maps, students will develop questions and take part in email exchanges to learn more about how geographic location impacts daily life.

Natural Disasters Project
What do we know about natural disasters? In this lesson, students learn about the natural disasters of the world, particularly those most likely to occur in their ePals' countries. Through email exchanges, students will learn about natural disasters, where and under what conditions they are most likely to occur. They will also research the different factors that may make a disaster more likely to occur in a particular place.

The Way We Are
This online twinning project is being completed between 40 classrooms in Canada and developing nations. Partipate alongside all age groups as they look at breaking down commonly held stereotypes via email and a moderated discussion board. Separate teacher discussion area and resources enable you to use any curriculum to teach tolerance and respect. Resources supplied.
